Poker is a game of skill that involves betting with cards. In most versions, players use a standard 52-card deck, with four of each type and four different suits. A round of betting begins when the dealer deals each player two cards face down. These cards are called the hole or pocket cards of the player. In each betting interval, a player places a bet, usually a small amount. Usually, this is $1 or $5. The ante is decided by the table, but it’s up to the players to determine the minimum bet. In the first betting interval, the player with the best poker combination wins the pot. After this, the remaining players reveal their hands clockwise around the table.
